Our Practice Team

General Practitioners



Dr Basil Hainsworth

MB ChB FRCS

Graduated in 1972 and after a hospital surgical career he became a General Practictioner in 1987. He took over The Parks Medical Centre in 1990 and has continued to work to date.




Dr Hisham Haq

MBBS MRCGP DRCOG DIPOccMED

Graduated 2002 and after hospital and General Practice training became a GP in 2008. He joined The Parks Medical Centre as a partner in April 2011.




Dr Natalija Staliuniene


Graduated from medical school in Lithuania in 1994. She obtained her specialist diploma in Family Medicine in 1998. After working in general practice in Lithuania she joined The Parks Medical Centre in October 2019 under the International GP Recruitment Scheme. She successfully completed her training and became a salaried GP here from January 1st 2021.




Practice Nurses



Sharon Turner


After a lengthy career in the acute health sector she joined us in 2012 with the intention of pursuing a career as a practice nurse. She brought with her a wealthy experience in patient care.



Administration Staff



Rachel Hall

BA(Hons)

Graduated with a Business Administration degree in 1995. After a long and varied career in the retail industry she joined The Parks Medical Centre in 2010 as the Practice Manager.




Leanne Mitchinson


After working within the retail sector she joined the practice in 2012 as a reception administrator.




Rosa O’Connor


Rosa joined the reception team in October 2022 after a long career in the private sector. She was furloughed during Covid and started her own cleaning business.




Emma Ashby


Emma joined the reception team in October 2022 and a long career at Greggs. She brings a wealth of customer service to the role.




Dawn Proctor


After working within the private sector she joined the practice in 2020 as an admin assistant/reception administrator.




Additional Roles



Clinical Pharmacists


Since 2021 we have 2 PCN Clinical Pharmacists who work part time in practice.

Their role includes medicine optimisation, safe prescribing and updating repeat medicines based on clinical and discharge letters.

First Contact Phyiotherapists


Since 2021 we had 2 PCN First Contact Physiotherapists working for the practice.

Their role is to see patient’s with acute musculoskeletal problems such as back pain, neck pain, knee pain etc as soon as possible in order to help manage and treat the symptoms, without the need to see a GP.

They currently work across the PCN sites, including The Parks Medical Centre, so if you are offered an appointment with them rather than a GP this is because they are the best healthcare professional to manage your symptoms.

Social Prescriber


Our PCN prescriber Yasmin has been working across the PCN practices since 2021. Her role is to support patients whose well-being is affecting their health.

There are a number of areas that she can support patients with and further information can be found here




Health & Well-being Coach


Our PCN Health & Well-being coach Cleo joined the practices in 2022 and helps patients in various ways.
